Program prepares you for a

ing bioengineering, stem cell science, environmental
science, forensics, and private, state and federal
research and clinical labs. Industry projections show

Berkeley City College’s extensive support
system includes counseling, tutoring, “boot camps,”
discussion groups and extra laboratory hours that
help prepare and support students through the
rigorous biotechnology major. Earn an Associate in
Science Degree, a Certificate of Achievement in 1.5 to
two years, or a Certificate of Proficiency in one year.
You can also earn a specialty certificate in Stem Cell
Biology.
As an entry-level bioscience technician,
you can expect to earn starting salary of up to $17
to $20 an hour.

ogy Program also received two commenda-
tions from the State Chancellor’s Office for
the California Community Colleges. It is a
state model for community college bioscience
programs.
