Conrad Borba is a graphic and web designer, who
spent much time in his youth drawing and creat-
ing, with his earliest memories of working on a
computer as a kindergartner. He studied graphic
and web design at Modesto Junior College and
the Institute of Technology of Modesto. With over
10 years experience in graphic design and six
years as a freelancer, Borba stays abreast indus-
try standards in order to provide his clients with

Sonia Beasley has been in sales for over 11 years.
She started selling over the phone for a Mystery
Shopping company. Able to build relationships
and trust over the phone, she decided to try out-
side sales for a local newspaper. She enjoys work-
ing with people and creating ways to help market
their business so that they are successful and
their business thrives. She prides herself in her
personalized customer service and professional-

Walter Ruehlig graduated cum laude with a de-
gree in English from the State University of New
York at Albany and career counsels adults with
disabilities. He’s the former President of the An-
tioch School Board, founded the Antioch Music
Foundation, and is the 2012 Antioch Citizen of
the Year-Lifetime Achievement award recipient.
He regularly contributes to three local newspa-

Dr. Margaret Stahler, ND, MPH, PhD has varied
science interests ranging from horticulture to
health to the environment. She is a licensed
naturopathic doctor in Brentwood specializing
in adult health with a focus on pain relief. She
practices holistic, integrative medicine in her
office Madrona Naturopathic Healthcare. She is
originally from the rural Minnesota River Valley

Cha-Cha Cha attended Cal-Berkeley. Her jour-
ney led to teaching, medical and law. Her love
of writing led to being a newspaper reporter,
to currently writing a book about the people of
the Delta. Crowned 2011 Queen of Bethel Island,
followed by 2012 Citizen of the Year. Meeting
people, trying different cuisine makes the job of
Restaurant Profiler perfect.
Rick Lemyre is the founding editor of The Brent-
wood Press and sister Press newspapers in Dis-
covery Bay, Oakley and Antioch. He retired from
The Press in March, 2013, after 14 years as man-
aging editor. Rick lives with his wife Cyndy and
daughter Stephanie in Brentwood. You can reach

Michelle Sibrian fell in love with photography in
high school and has been shooting ever since.
She is a portrait and wedding photographer at

photography, Michelle is having fun traveling
with her family, cooking and yoga. Living in the
Bay Area, she has been married for 14 years and

Tracy L. Nelson, a 35-year East Contra Costa res-
ident, has been a newspaper reporter, legislative
aide and high school teacher. For the past eight
years, she has taught political science at Chabot
College and Los Medanos College and has her
own writing, editing and design business, Nelson
Custom Publishing. When she’s not Professor
Nelson, she’s “neenaw” to three grandchildren.
Sam Bradley spent her career as a paramedic
and educator. She is now transitioning to full
time work as a writer, photographer and pro-
ducer of EMS video. She is the Training Officer
for the Disaster Medical Assistance Team, CA-6,
and functions as an EMS training consultant for
East Contra Costa Fire and Contra Costa Fire.

Travis Newby is 24-years-old from San Jose, CA.
He works in high tech at Barracuda Networks.
Photography has always been a passion that
runs in his family. His grandfather started a stu-
dio that is still in the family. In his spare time,
